Short notice I know, but Graeme Downes is going to guest on The Local, Radio One from 7pm (NZ time) on Thursday the 6th of December. If you've got some questions you'd like me to put to him or song requests, list them below and I'll see what I can do. Streams on www.r1.co.nzOr listen for real on 91fm Dunedin Dave Local

Oke, here's my question:
What makes the new album a true Verlaines-album and not just a solo-cd??

Well, he did answer that question and it was something along the lines of this: The solo record happened because he had moved to Auckland and the band members were too far away to be included. The intention was also to go to America for a month or so and promote it with some solo shows but it was released on September the 10th 2001 and circumstances changed suddenly the following day.
The new album involved the same band members as the previous Verlaines album, Over the Moon, but not all recording at the same time. However, it is a band recording. No plans to play any live shows to support this album but work has already begun on the next one. Joy!
