Just want to let you know about an event that is coming up. To help celebrate NZ Music Month we are taking part in an event hosted by Toroa Radio. Here's are the details from their press release. "Join us for an evening where the band will talk about the heady days of the 80’s, right up to what the band are doing right now. The evening will include an open floor Q & A session as well as a chance to hear some live acoustic Verlaines songs. The host for the evening will be Toroa Radio’s Scorcher show programmer “Loff”.
Thursday 28th May @ 7.15pm, The Dunningham Suite, Dunedin City Library. FREE - tell your friends!"
So hopefully we will see you there!

Any chance of a live internet simulcast for us too far away to attend? Or record and post for download? Flying to Dunedin might be tough to fit into next weeks schedule. And gueuzewife might say it's not in the budget. gueuze

we need to edit the recording as it is quite long. working on it. album release date is 14 July. will be available on itunes and international mail order from dunedinmusic.com. we are launching a new website shortly where all important info will be available but in meantime check myspace page for updates. hopefully something you can listen to on there soon also. no vinyl at this stage but not ruling it out. www.myspace.com/theverlaines"All this and a day job too...." DS PS we are also planning to issue a live album recorded in 1986 in Auckland. GD, Robbie, Jane going through songs from Bird Dog, Hallelujah plus a few older ones.

A live-album from 1986? That would be great!! And a new album on the horizon, happy days indeed....
